The Full Story
The current firm of Gerrit Burger Architect is the outcome of a multidisciplinary international development consultancy (IDC) that was formed in 1994. The IDC client base rapidly expanded due to the offering of the combined services of Architecture and Town and Regional Planning. The addition of quantity surveying services in 1996 eventually led to such growth in the individual professions that the three disciplines became autonomous and separate entities in 1997.
Gerrit Burger, who was the sole proprietor of Gerrit Burger Architect since 1994, passed away in January 2011. Memory Burger, an associate of the firm MWP Associates since 1992, then became the principal of Gerrit Burger Architect.
In early 2019 Andre Christensen joined Gerrit Burger Architects as partner.
Andre worked for 14 years in Namibia, South Africa and the UK before joining the firm of Gerrit Burger Architects.

Gerrit Burger Architects has merged its talents with Christensen Architects. All future project will be under the umbrella of Christensen Architects.
